Yep, the mold is on the moldy cheese and the stink is now in the air.

But all was not lost as some knowledge was gained. Since bleu cheese was a food waste, I was interested in learning about bleu (or blue) cheese, so I did some research. According to foodreference.com, bleu cheese was first made in caves where mold is present. Today mold is often injected into the cheese or mixed in with the curds. Wild.
Like many other food waste bloggers, I have lost the cilantro battle.

Well, I guess it was more like I lost the war. This stuff got slimy in the fridge.
While I had two casualties, I did not have any meat waste, an improvement from some of my past food waste Fridays.
How about you?

I wrap the herbs in damp paper towel, then in aluminum foil. They keep for a long time. This keeps celery fresh for 3 weeks. Also, you can microwave herbs on a paper towel, for 20 seconds at a time, until they are crumbly and dried. Or, put them in ice trays and freeze…you can add the ice cubes to food as you cook it!
