Yep, it’s Friday and I am refraining from doing a food waste post today. It’s not because I don’t have any, (I lost two bananas), but because last week I discovered Friday’s Flowers at FIMBY (Fun in My Back Yard). And I was presented with this bouquet:

The real beauty of these flowers was not found in the arrangement itself, but in the face of my four-year-old daughter as she came through the door and handed me this surprise bouquet. I’m a lucky mom.

Any bouquet from your child is the best, isn’t it? Dandelions or buttercups, it doesn’t matter! Pretty flowers, were they for Memorial Day or just because?
Hey, thanks everyone for all the great comments today on the flowers. I have a feeling the “red, white and blue” theme was left over from Memorial Day, but they held up rather well two weeks later.
And yes, my 4 year-old is sweet, most of the time.
Ah yes! flowers from the children…a most treasured gift!
