For the past several years my grandfather has been asking me, “Have you been writing anything lately?” My reply has always been that I was too busy with child care (I have two little girls).
In an attempt to collect my thoughts, add a touch of humor and spontaneity to my life, and to answer my grandfather in the affirmative, I have created this Weblog. My goal is to document my experiences as I challenge myself to engage in new projects, think of others and the environment, and appreciate the simple things while not taking life too seriously.
Before tackling the domestic life, I spent almost ten years working with young people with developmental disabilities and behavior challenges. In this field, I worked with many amazing people and their families. Often I learned more from my clients than they ever learned from me.
